Open Doors Summer Camp Report 2012

Dear Loving Brothers and Sister in Christ

Remembering spring and summer 2012, I tank the Lord again for His blessings.

In February we had had the training seminar for the Christian businessmen from Ukraine, Belorussia and Russia. We have held the seminar together with BTPN (BreakThroughPeopleNetwork). The seminar topic was “How to write business plan”. The major Christian businessmen do nave specific education that is why such a seminar was very useful for them. We have received a lot of positive reviews and appreciations on the seminar. I visited a conference «HOLY AVAILABLE»that time. It was very spiritual conference where I had experienced personal communication with God.

In April and May we got ready the camp for summer season. The Lord blessed us with providing finances to install water supply to the reconstructed three stored cottage.

In June we receive the church from Belorussia; they had their seminar in our camp and we had had two camps in June also. There were 46 children in the first one and the children came from the villages. They were of unbelieving families and the major of kids have known about Christ in our camp. The second camp was organized for the children of Kiev church. During the first camp session the construction team had joined us. It was the football team with the coaches from the Eastern-Taxes Bible University (ETBU), organized by ТСМ department from ANM. It was blessed time as for us as for the team. The guys have done a lot of hard work and in the evenings they communicated with children and shared their testimonies and worshiped the Lord together with kids.

In July we had two camps for the military people and their families where they studied English. We were eye witnesses how God uses the camps to find lost people. There were 70 pupils in each camp and 65 people open their hearts for the Lord.

In the end of July we had eight days camp for the disabled wheelchair children. The report about it was shown on TV.

In August the city administration asked us to rent another camp and have there one camp session (14 days) for 67 children. The camp did not operate because of lack of finances that is why they asked us to have one session in order it was not terminated. The main sense of it is to have proper image for the city administration. We agreed to handle the camp if they allow us to have there Christian ethics lessons. We felt cautious attitude toward our team in the beginning of the camp session. During the firs meeting we have declared that what we were going to speak to the children about and asked them to examine what kind of music they have during disco. The moral context of songs we have discussed again later.

There were only four people from our team. As the result, 25 children prayed in the end of the camp session with us.

In the end of August we received students of the Pedagogical College.

As it turned out, we have spiritual power to influence this world and it becomes visible having communication experience with the city administration and we have to use it effectively. Praise the Lord for such opportunities.

In August, I was invited to celebrate 120^th anniversary of a church in Mariupol city where I have had ministry as a pastor for ten years. It was great time for memories and giving thanks to God for serving in that church.

The heads from Education office came to us with the request to organize Christmas camp for the orphans who studied in the professional schools after finishing education. They are teenagers of fifteen years old. We have started getting ready for the camp and we shall have it in December 30, 2012 until January 12, 2013. We have to gather a team of people who will work with the children, prepare proper program and raise funds to handle the camp. One teenager costs 140 UAH. or US$17.5 in day. We need 196000 UAH or US$24500.

Christmas Camp 2012

I Send you my greetings, my dear friends,

I thank all of you for taking part in the Christmas camp organization for orphans.

In January, 12, on Saturday, the Christmas camp came to an end. There were 55 people. The situation has changed a little bit. Teenagers from the colleges did not come but another orphans from boarding school arrived. Children age is 7-18 years old. They had fun in the camp. Children sing songs, they like Christian songs; they have Bible classes and involved in different kinds of sections. They also sledge form the hill. There is a lot of snow this year. Children learned how to pray and did it with desire in the dining room, in the rooms for Bible classes and before going to bed. The sermons where children took part were very interesting. We went for excursion to Chernigov where we attended Antony caves, had a walk around the town, visited city New Year tree and cafeteria “Zoloty kluchik” where we ate cakes. We also visited Christmas concert in the city philharmonic organized by the Baptist churches of Chernigov.

The guests visited us and brought presents for the children. The guests and children were very happy.
