October Prayer Letter
Hi Friends,
Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
I am sure this news will ignite in you your love for the Lord and
commitment to evangelism.
Teaching In Inle Lake this past week, 17 of us went to Lake Inle which is one of the most attractive tourism areas in Shan State. The purpose of this trip was two folds. One, we were to encourage, equip and strengthen the new believers in Inle Lake by learning together from the life of Nehemiah. God has blessed the teaching. The teaching was "a remedy of the need of the hour" as it was worded by Pastor Ya Mang who was instrumental in the building of this church.
Some, as a matter of fact, most of these believers are either expelled or persecuted. Most of them lost their job as they were fired by their bosses or companies with which they worked.
Distributing Gospel Tract in Kaung Boo Village The village is made up by about 1500 houses and there are only four individual Christians in the village. The 16 of us, students and teachers, distributed the Gospel tract for the first time in this village and we are the first to do that in the history of that village. However excited we are for making that history, the response was not as we expected. The authority in the village called our contact, Zaw Min Oo, and they told him that we can never enter their village again with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But we are connvinced that this response indicates that God was and is at work among the people who read the Gospel tract we distributed.
Prayer Request
May I ask that you will pray for our contact, Zaw Min Oo, and that God will call and that I will be instrumental to inspire students to go there to do the work of evangelism.
Thank you all for your love and prayer for us. The students at our Yangon Grace Bible School asked me to send their love and prayer to you guys as well.
Sincerely in Christ,
Philip & Dante
